Workshop on ‘Doing Research in Language and Literature’ at RGU

RONO HILLS, Jun 10: A two-day workshop on the topic ‘Doing Research in Language and Literature’ organized by the Dept of English, Rajiv Gandhi University began here today.

The workshop aims to facilitate the students and research scholars in choosing and formulating their areas and topics of research. One of its main objectives is to acquaint the participants with the interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach in research as envisaged in NEP 2020, with the resource persons discussing the various aspects related to research in language and literature.

The inaugural session was chaired by the University Registrar Dr NT Rikam.

The Dean of the Faculty of Languages, Prof SS Singh highlighted the history and prospective of research and threw light on the significant aspects of the NEP 2020. The head of the Dept of English, Prof KC Mishra also spoke.

In his concluding remarks, the Registrar spoke on the significance that research holds in the overall design of the NEP 2020.
