ITANAGAR, Jul 31: The Arunachal Pradesh Information Commission (APIC) has imposed penalty of Rs 25,000 each on two Public Information Officers (PIOs) - Oyi Borang Tatak, DDSE Siang and Tumi Bagra, EE RWD, Longding for their alleged involvement in “gross violation” of the provisions of the RTI Act, 2005.
Both the PIOs have been directed to deposit the penalty amounts in favour of the Registrar, APIC before August 30 and submit the copies of treasury challan to the Commission, failing which additional action (recommendation for disciplinary action by the competent authority) shall be initiated against them.
