Three drug ‘peddlers’ arrested

NAMSAI, Jul 10: Intensifying the effort to curb drug menace in Namsai district, Namsai police today arrested three persons namely Chow Engkhun Pomong, Chow Watana Monhut of Solungtoo village and Chow Chantakung Lohan of Manmow village, said an official press note.

A total of 14 packets containing pink colour powder weighing approximately 72.25 grams, mobile handsets and cash amounting to Rs 40,000 were seized from their possession.

The trio were arrested from the house of Chow Engkhun Pomong by the police team led by Inspector C B Rai, OC Namsai police station and head constable C S Mehra, Ct S Sumiyan, Ct K Ram and CT N Gamlin.

A case has been registered u/s 21(b)/25/27/29 of NDPS act at Namsai police station.
