KOLORIANG, Mar 19: Kurung Kumey Deputy Commissioner Vishakha Yadav along with a team of officials from NHIDCL (National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited) inspected national highway-713 today, and directed the highway team to expedite the completion of the road project at the earliest.
The authorities of NHIDCL, a fully owned company of the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH), Govt of India, assured the DC that the road construction will be completed by the end of March.
The project has already experienced delays compared to similar road packages in the State. However, the DC has been actively monitoring the progress, conducting monthly inspections, and pushing for improvements in road conditions across the district.
With the gradual improvement of roads, the transportation of goods has become more efficient, leading to a reduction in commodity costs.
