Itanagar, Aug 6: The NIELIT DNGC Study Centre at Dera Natung Government College (DNGC) here marked a significant milestone today with the inauguration of its third computer lab.
The newly established Computer Lab-3, equipped with 50 internet-enabled systems, was formally inaugurated by the college principal Dr MQ Khan. Speaking on the occasion, he commended NIELIT for its consistent efforts in promoting digital education and urged students to embrace modern technologies such as Artificial Intelligence to prepare for the future. He emphasized the need for technical skill development among youth in today’s competitive environment.
Director in-charge of NIELIT Itanagar, RK Bigensana Singh, delivered the keynote address, highlighting the wide range of digital literacy and skill development courses offered by the Institute. He encouraged students to make the most of the newly established facility and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies.
The inauguration was attended by heads of various departments, faculty members, and students.
The NIELIT DNGC Study Centre, established in 2019, began with a lab of 20 computers. With the launch of Lab-3, the Centre has expanded its capacity to provide year-round training to students from both within and outside the college, strengthening the digital learning ecosystem in Arunachal Pradesh.
