Khandu unveils roadmap for ‘Schools of Tomorrow’

Itanagar, Aug 19: Chief Minister Pema Khandu today announced a comprehensive vision to transform education in Arunachal Pradesh, blending strong foundational learning with cutting-edge technology to build the “schools of tomorrow.”

Highlighting recent achievements, Khandu said in a social media post that the state’s School Readiness Programme for Classes 1–5 has laid a firm base in literacy and numeracy, while results in Class 10 and 12 have improved by over 10% in the past year.

To ensure accountability and real-time monitoring, the government has launched the Vidya Samiksha Kendra, which leverages GIS and AI-powered analytics to track student performance, teacher attendance, and infrastructure gaps across the state.

Looking ahead, the Chief Minister announced Mission Shikshit Arunachal 2029, backed by a Rs 3,000 crore investment for school infrastructure, modern facilities, and improved learning outcomes. A new Teacher Transfer Policy has also been rolled out to eliminate single-teacher schools and ensure equitable teacher distribution in rural and urban areas alike.

“Our vision is simple—no child should be left behind. From early literacy to AI-driven monitoring, Arunachal will lead the way in education reform,” Khandu asserted.
