PASIGHAT, Sep 19: A monthly review meeting of the District Level Monitoring Committee-cum-District Development Report (DLMC-cum-DDR) was held today at the DC’s conference hall here, with East Siang Deputy Commissioner Sonalika Jiwani chairing the meeting.
The DC took stock of the progress of ongoing state/central schemes across all departments, and instructed all departmental officers to work cohesively “as a team”. She emphasized that it is the responsibility of each official to ensure the delivery of last-mile services to the public to reach the unreached and to cover all target beneficiaries. She stressed that sustained and proactive efforts are essential to meeting public expectations in all sectors of development.
After reviewing the status of all ongoing state and central government schemes, the DC urged all HoDs to submit their reports in a timely and proper manner. She issued specific directives, stressing that the Education Department should initiate the process of opening bank accounts for students. She also directed the District Land Revenue & Settlement Officer (DLRSO) to clear pending cases of government land acquisition and to formulate policies to address illegal land encroachment in the district.
The DC further advised all departments to ensure they come to the next meeting with accurate data and thorough preparation.
The meeting was also attended by ADC (HQs) Pebika Lego, SDO Sanjay Taram, and DPO Tatak Mibang. (DIPRO)
