Dy CM thanks PM Modi, FM for Rs 1,785 Cr tax devolution advance

ITANAGAR, Oct 3: Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the release of Rs 1,785 crore as Arunachal Pradesh’s advance share of tax devolution.

Calling the move a timely gesture during the festive season, Mein said the funds would provide a major boost to the state’s welfare schemes and ongoing development initiatives.

“This timely support will further accelerate our welfare measures and development initiatives in Arunachal Pradesh. I extend my deepest gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and special thanks to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman ji for facilitating this crucial support,” the Deputy Chief Minister stated.

The advance release of tax devolution is expected to ease financial flow to the state exchequer and help maintain momentum in flagship programmes, infrastructure development, and social sector projects across Arunachal Pradesh, officials said.
