Itanagar, Jan 16: In a bid to foster inter-commission collaboration and exchange ideas on best practices, Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) Chairperson SS Chabbra visited the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) on Friday. He was accorded a warm welcome by APPSC Chairperson Prof (Dr) Pradip Lingfa, along with Members Col (Retd) Koj Tari and Rosy Taba Gongo, Secretary Priytarshnny P and other senior officials.
During the meeting held at the APPSC Conference Hall, a detailed PowerPoint presentation was made on the establishment, achievements, and new initiatives of the Commission aimed at ensuring a free, fair, and merit-based recruitment process.
One of the key initiatives highlighted was the Commission’s outreach programmes conducted in schools and colleges to spread awareness about recruitment procedures and encourage students to serve the State with integrity and dedication.
The MPSC Chairperson, in turn, shared the challenges faced by his Commission and outlined several best practices adopted in Manipur. He also extended an invitation to the APPSC to visit the MPSC in the near future for further exchange of experiences.
The visit ended with a tour of the APPSC’s new building, including its examination halls, interview boardrooms, and PwD-friendly facilities.
