U/Subansiri holds awareness workshop on PM-NAPS

DAPORIJO, Jan 16: The Prime Minister’s National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (PM-NAPS) awareness workshop-cum-mobilization drive for Upper Subansiri district was conducted at Singik Hall here today.

Attending the workshop as chief guest, Deputy Director Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (SDE) Gyati Kacho urged the trainees of ITI Tabarijo and the unemployed youth of the district to avail the benefits of National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) and the State Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (SAPS) provided by the central and state governments to enhance the skills of youth to get employable.

‘In face of less industries and employment opportunities within the State, our unemployed youth should venture outside the State by joining apprenticeship and on the-job trainings to be employable’, he urged.

The Dy Director explained in detail the benefits of NAPS/SAPS through a PPT presentation, while DSDE consultants Tonuruchi Olimman and Angshu Yadav made presentations on ‘The Chief Minister’s Soft Loan Scheme’ (CMSLS) and ‘The Foreign Language Training Programme and Overseas Employment’ (FLTP).         

Representatives of empanelled Third Party Aggregators Navbir Singh from 2 Coms Pvt Ltd and Shantanu Chaudhary from Eduvantage Pvt Ltd highlighted the job roles, vacancies and the training locations available.

Dedicated stalls were also set up at the venue where on the spot counseling and registration was provided to the aspiring trainees during the workshop.

Upper Subansiri District Skill Committee member secretary and Asstt Director Industry Chimpu Lombi also spoke on the occasion.

The awareness workshop is being organized by the DSDE in collaboration with the District Skill Committees.
