MECHUKHA, Sep 30: The Seva Sankalp Abhiyaan 2026 was organised at the Indoor Stadium here on Tuesday to facilitate direct delivery of government services and welfare schemes to the people of Shi Yomi district.
Minister for Education, RWD, Parliamentary Affairs, Tourism and Libraries P D Sona inaugurated the programme by formally cutting the ribbon. He inspected various departmental stalls and interacted with officials and beneficiaries to take stock of the services being provided and understand the requirements of people at the grassroots level.
Addressing the gathering, Sona emphasised the need for collaborative efforts between the administration and the public for timely completion of developmental projects. He urged the people to extend their cooperation and support to ongoing development initiatives in the district.
Shi Yomi Deputy Commissioner Manjunath R, in his welcome address, highlighted the objectives and significance of the Abhiyaan, which seeks to bring departmental services closer to the public and ensure effective implementation of government schemes.
An awareness pledge under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan was also administered during the programme, led by the minister. The pledge reaffirmed the collective commitment to creating a society free from substance abuse and promoting its implementation at the grassroots level.
The Abhiyaan continued with the delivery of various departmental services through dedicated stalls, providing the beneficiaries an opportunity to access government services and schemes at a single venue.
