Cracking of robbery case paves ‘way’ to drug peddler’s arrest, 4 Kg of ganja seized

BOMDILA, Nov 7: In a dramatic turn of events, the cracking of a robbery case in which three offenders were apprehended yesterday has paved way to the arrest of one drug peddler, informed West Kameng SP Raja Banthia.   

OC PS Bomdila SI K Dev and his team under the guidance of SP West Kameng arrested one drug peddler namely Dilip Gor, 40, alias Kaka of Udalguri, Assam and recovered four kilograms of cannabis/ganja and 20 grams of charas (marijuana), locally called black, in connection with BDL PS case no 28/19 u/s 20(b)/27 of NDPS Act.

Acting on information that a few miscreants were committing robbery at highway near patrol depot at about 0220 hrs on Wednesday, the OC and his team promptly went ahead and arrested three miscreants namely Dondu Sidisow and Miza Khadisow (both 19 and of Rupa), and Akho Sidisow, 18, of Thrizino from various parts of Bomdila after an hour’s ‘hide and seek’ and chase on being identified by the victim/complainant.

They were arrested in connection with BDL PS case no 27/19 u/s 427/392/34 IPC. During search, 20 grams of charas (marijuana) was recovered from the possession of suspected accused Miza Khadisow.
On being interrogated, he disclosed the source of such narcotics and psychotropic substances. Accordingly, Dev and his team acted promptly and raided the assumed location where from drug peddler Kaka was arrested and drugs recovered.
All the arrestees were produced before District and Sessions Judge where from alleged accused Kaka had been placed in four days police remand and the other three sent to judicial custody.
Anybody found consuming or in possession of such drugs will have to face serious legal consequences and so, the denizens are requested to cooperate with district police for curbing such anti-social activities, said the SP.
Besides SI K Dev, the police team consisted of K Karbak and Tsering Tashi (HCs), Alok Kumer and P Parisow (Cts).
