Tawang holds 2nd SAD camp at Shobur UPS

TAWANG, Nov 8: The second round of Sarkar Aapke Dwar cum Jan Sunwai camp for the year 2019-20 of Tawang district was held at Shobur upper primary school under Tawang circle today, which covered five villages viz Tsaikhar, Gomkang, Yusum, Shobur, Kangteng and also a few other hamlets.

Local MLA Tsering Tashi inaugurated the camp in presence of in-charge DC Tawang Lobsang Tsering, senior public leaders and officials from around 32 govt departments.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLA lauded the present state govt for initiating SAD camps, enabling the villagers to avail the benefits at their doorstep.

“Educate your children to be good citizens as education is the key to bring enlightenment and social changes. An educated farmer can grow better agricultural crops. We need to give better skill development and character building education to our younger generations,” he opined.

Appreciating the villagers of Tsaikhar-Yusum area for growing good number of vegetables and bringing it to market, the MLA assured them to provide solar fencing keeping in view the menace of wild boar and other wild animals destroying the crops.

He appealed the villagers to maintain peace and harmony among each other saying without peace there cannot be any development.

Later, the MLA felicitated the school toppers from class I to VIII of Shobur upper primary School.

Earlier, the in-charge DC spoke on the importance of education and benefits of SAD camp, and asked the villagers to avail benefits from the same.

During the camp, the participating villagers availed the benefits from various camps.
