ITANAGAR, Jun 29: Landslide has disrupted surface communication along NH-513, the lifeline of Upper Siang district, since the last five days.
The block point is about 20km from Pasighat which has extensively affected the traffic flow. While local commuters are taking the Pangin-Boleng road to reach Yingkiong, many goods carrying trucks for the district are stranded at the said location.
As the trucks carrying essential commodities are unable to reach the Upper Siang district headquarters, Yingkiong market is completely out of potatoes and other basic vegetable supplies and the prices of local vegetables have skyrocketed, sources said.
