CM pays tribute to frontline Corona warrior

ITANAGAR, Sep 15: Chief Minister Pema Khandu today paid tribute to a frontline COVID-19 warrior, who died of the infection in an Assam based hospital recently.
The 50-year-old Lalit Rijal was serving as a health assistant at PHC, Hollongi. He was actively engaged in Covid duties from the month of March till August 5 at Hollongi check gate. He expired at Tezpur Medical College & Hospital on September 11.
“My rich tribute to late Lalit Rijal, an employee of State Health Dept, who passed away after contacting #COVID19 while on duty. Late Rijal will be remembered as a true frontline warrior. My condolences to his family & pray that his soul rest in peace,” Khandu stated in a tweet.
