ITANAGAR, Sep 15: At least three state government departments have been shut down for sanitization cause after their staffers were infected with Covid-19.
Two departments in the civil secretariat have been shut down till Thursday following detection of Covid-19 cases among the staff members.
In the Administrative Reforms department functioning from room no.5, 6, 7, 8 & 9 of the fourth floor and room no 10 of the 5th floor of block no 4, an Under Secretary was found to be positive for Covid-19 today.
An order has been passed for all the staff members to get themselves tested and for the rooms to be sanitized.
Another order has been passed for sanitization of the first and second floor of block no1 where the Finance department is located. At least seven employees have been found to be contracted Covid-19 during the last week.
The office of the Commissioner Tax, Excise & Narcotics will be shut till Friday after one of its staffers was found to be Covid positive.
All the staffers have been asked to isolate themselves and get tested.
