‘Drug Free Arunachal’ mobile app launched to prevent drug menace

ITANAGAR, Sep 18: ‘Drug Free Arunachal’- an Android application developed to seize drug menace in the state was launched at the Police Headquarters here yesterday.

The App has been developed by an NGO with the same name, ‘Drug Free Arunachal (DFA)’, run by a software engineer Nabam Serbang, in collaboration with Arunachal Pradesh Police.

Through this App, people would be able to lodge complaints against various drug related crimes anonymously which will be then converted into FIR in the name of DFA and submitted to the concerned police station in real time. The matter will be then subsequently taken up by the police.

It can be downloaded from Google Play Store under the name ‘Drug Free Arunachal – report crime securely’.
