KDPSSU calls for 36-hr Koloriang bandh


ITANAGAR, Oct 26: The Koloriang, Damin, Parsi-Parlo and Sarli Students’ Union (KDPSSU) called for a 36-hour bandh at Koloriang, the headquarters of Kurung Kumey district, from 4 am of October 28 to 4 pm of October 29 in protest against the authorities’ failure to address its grievances.
The students’ body has been insisting the district authorities to fulfill its six-point charter of demands, including demand for proper demarcation of land of Govt schools and stopping illegal encroachment of Govt land & quarters at Koloriang, proper implementation of Right to Education (RTE) Act in Kurung Kumey district.
KDPSSU’s other demands include immediate cancellation of One Stop Center job under ICDS Department, Kurung Kumey district which it claimed to have been appointed illegally without any advertisement even in local dailies, immediate shifting of Food Corporation of India (FCI) godown to the district HQs, immediate eviction of structures in between BRTF road to general playground, Koloriang with cancellation of private land allotment.
It also demanded systematic and immediate completion of Trans-Arunachal Highway (NH-713) from Kush to old DC office, Koloriang as per the DPR.
