Tirap holds 22nd SAD camp at Old Changnyak

KHONSA, Feb 10: The 22nd phase of Sarkar Aapke Dwar was conducted at Old Changnyak village, 39 Km away from Khonsa, the headquarters of Tirap district wherein local MLA cum chairman APEDA Wanglam Sawin and Tirap DC P N Thungon graced amidst huge participation of people from Old Changnyak and Ngointhong villages.

In his speech, Sawin said that Sarkar Aap ke Dwar programme has been initiated by BJP led central and state governments to facilitate the villagers living in far- flung areas, and appealed all departmental heads and subordinate staff to deliver their “best” services in the interest of public so as to enable them avail all facilities under various PM/CM flagship programmes. 

While appreciating the District Administration and HoDs for conducting SAD camp at Katang, he called upon all farming community of Katang area to avail facilities from all departments at their doorsteps to reduce many problems of obtaining important documents.

The DC while interacting with the people of Old Changnyak and Ngointhong villages exhorted them to get their children immunized on 10th March, 2019 in nearest Health Centre and obtain health immunization card, which he said will help in their children’s school admission.

He also emphasized on the importance of health, hygiene and education.

Later, the MLA and DC distributed Soil Health certificates, free LPG connection, LED bulbs to Chiefs and GBs of Old Changnyak and Ngointhong, free yarn to weavers of Old Changnyak and Ngointhong.

During the SAD camp at Old Changnyak, several beneficiaries got benefitted from various schemes. (DIPRO)
