State Board Exam, CBSE pattern for assessment mandatory for all schools

TANAGAR, May 15: From the current academic year onwards, all the private-aided and unaided recognized private schools in the State will be brought under the purview of Arunachal Pradesh State Board Examination for classes V & VIII. Besides, the State Govt has ordered introduction of CBSE based assessment model in all Govt, private-aided and unaided recognized private schools in the State.

“The Department of Education, Govt of Arunachal Pradesh has decided that all the private-aided and un-aided recognized private schools will also be brought under the purview of Arunachal Pradesh State Board Examination of class V & VIII with effect from academic session 2019-20,” informed Tapi Gao, Chairman of AP State Board Examination cum Director of Elementary Education.

Further, it is also decided to comply with the CBSE assessment re-modelled structure 2017-18 where 80 marks is assigned toward written examination and 20 marks as internal assessment, including 10 marks for three periodic tests, 5 marks for notebook submission and another 5 marks for subjects enrichment.  

“The CBSE base assessment model should be followed in every Govt schools, private-aided and unaided recognized private schools of the State,” said the State Board Examination Chairman while informing that the details can be accessed from the concerned DDSE offices.
