Itanagar, Sep 30: The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Regional Office Itanagar under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Govt of India, conducted a Mini Integrated Communication & Outreach Programme (ICOP) on the theme ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’, emphasizing on “Swabhav Swachhata, Sanskar Swachhata” at Poma village near Itanagar on Monday.
Senior Technical Assistant cum Incharge CBC, RO Itanagar, Parvesh Kumar said that this program aimed to educate and engage the youth, and urged them to disseminate the message to the different spheres of the society so that many more people can take part in the Swachhata campaign.
PHED Assistant Engineer Jomnya Jini attending as the resource person focused on the Swachhata and discussed in detail about the SHS campaign themed “Swabhav Swachhata, Sanskar Swachhata”, how it works, and after the launch of this campaign how more people participated in the Swachhata Abhiyan.
GPC of Poma village, Tayum John, the chief guest on the occasion, also elaborated the importance of Swachhata campaign, and urged the villagers to carry out social service work at their respective areas on a regular basis for Swachh Bharat.
Tree plantation was also carried out during the program by planting trees by the chief guest and resource person. The program ended with the giving away of prizes to the winners of the games & sports competition.
