Koloriang, Oct 1: Local MLA Pani Taram on Tuesday said the state government has been giving top priority to the health sector.
Talking to reporters after inaugurating a free medical camp under the Seva Pakhwada program at Koloriang, he said the government is committed to take basic facilities like health services to the people.
The event, as part of the statewide free health camp, was organised by the Kurung Kumey unit of Bharatiya Janata Party in collaboration with the District Health Society.
On the occasion, the MLA also launched the Ayushman Bharat Yojana and awareness program on several beneficial schemes like Dulari Kanya Yojana, old-age pension, schemes for widows and disabled persons, etc.
He thanked the Kurung Kumey district administration led by Deputy Commissioner Vishakha Yadav and party karyakartas for organising the health camp, and appealed to the people to avail benefit of the camp.
Kurung Kumey BJP president Phassang Bunghi also praised the district administration, Health department and the people for the successful conduct of the mega health camp.
The party, in association with the Health Department, will conduct similar camps in the remote and far-flung areas of the district in the coming days, he said.
Also present were DC Vishakha Yadav, SP Bomken Basar, Health department officials, and party workers.
