Guv calls for real-time monitoring of development projects

Itanagar, Jan 10: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik has urged the State authorities to implement real-time monitoring systems for developmental projects to ensure timely completion of the projects.

The Governor while discussing the developmental progress of the State with Chief Secretary Manish Kumar Gupta at Raj Bhavan here today, emphasized on real-time monitoring of developmental works in the State for timely implementation and quality work of the projects.

The Governor said that regular inspections and reviews need to be carried out for Central and State government sponsored programmes and policies. He underscored the review of programmes which have been committed by the Prime Minister including his plan to eradicate tuberculosis (TB) by 2025.

Whilst the Chief Secretary informed him of the State Government’s efforts to propel development in all spheres and for that purpose, a conference of Deputy Commissioners has been planned to address the implementation of ‘Sashakt Arunachal’, the Governor appreciated the State’s efforts and advised the CS to include issues, which emerged during his numerous visits to the districts.

Reiterating his call for data automation of all the government offices across the State, the Governor advised the Chief Secretary to start automation of all data of the departments and districts. Such concerted steps will ensure the analysing of the implementation process and avenues where more funds and technological inputs are required, he said.
