ITANAGAR, Jan 10: In a proud moment and quite an achievement for Arunachal Pradesh, Achom Degio has made it to the first-ever Indian Women’s Futsal Team, which will take part in the AFC Women's Asian Cup 2025 Qualifiers in Indonesia from January 15 to 19.
On this count, Chief Minister Pema Khandu has hailed the “Futsal Queen” for her selection to the Indian team, which assumes greater significance as the 23-year-old is a part of the final squad of the first-ever Indian Women’s Futsal Team.
Taking to his ‘X’ handle, Khandu said: “Futsal Queen from Arunachal Pradesh! We take immense pride in Ms Achom Degio's selection to final squad of first-ever Indian Women's Futsal Team.”
Wishing Achom all the best, he said: “Our best wishes to her for the AFC Women's Asian Cup 2025 Qualifiers, scheduled to be held in Indonesia from January 15-19. Let the world witness your magic!”
