The APTET, which is conducted by the government for recruiting the teachers for the State-run schools, comprises of two papers – Paper I for aspiring primary teachers (classes 1 to 5) and Paper II for upper primary teachers (classes 6 to 8).
Out of 1797 candidates registered for Paper I, 1371 appeared for the examination and 244 of them have passed, recording a pass percentage of 17.80 per cent.
