YINGKIONG, Mar 12: Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (APSCPCR) member Yahung Tekseng passed away in his private residence at Yingkiong, Upper Siang district on Tuesday after prolonged illness.
The mortal remains of Tekseng were laid to rest here today.
He is survived by his wife, four sons and four daughters.
Late Tekseng was a prominent public leader and a social worker who served the society in various positions. He did his schooling from Govt Hr Sec School, Yingkiong and completed his graduation from JNC, Pasighat. After graduation, he briefly served as a teacher and thereafter, he joined active politics and served as Anchal Samiti Member (ASM) from 1988 - 1991. In the year 1995, he was appointed as Arunachal Pradesh State Cooperative Union (APSCU) Chairman and in 2009 also served as Upper Siang District Unit president of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). He was serving as a member, APSCPCR till his last breath.
Meanwhile, Upper Siang Deputy Commissioner Talo Jerang has deeply condoled the untimely demise of Tekseng. In his condolence, the DC while describing late Tekseng as a prominent public figure of Upper Siang district stated that his remarkable contributions towards society and impact on countless lives will be remembered forever.
He further prayed to almighty God to bestow strength to the bereaved family members to bear with the irreparable loss. (DIPRO)
