IPR Directorate bids farewell to Dy Director Marbang Ezing

ITANAGAR, Oct 31: A retirement farewell ceremony in honour of Shri Marbang Ezing, Deputy Director, was held today at the conference hall of the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (Soochna Bhawan).

The event was chaired by Secretary IPR Nyali Ete and attended by Under Secretary Bishwajit Goswami, Director IPR Gijum Tali, along with officers and staff members of the Directorate.

The programme began with a welcome address by Deputy Director Dengia Bengia followed by speeches from the Secretary, Director, and several colleagues who fondly recalled Ezing’s professionalism, leadership, and mentorship, highlighting his valuable contribution to the department.

In his farewell address, Ezing reflected on his professional journey, which began with his appointment as DIPRO at Tezu on May 16, 1994, and culminated with his promotion to Deputy Director on August 14, 2023. He retired on October 31, 2025, marking 31 years, 5 months, and 15 days of distinguished government service.

Expressing gratitude, he thanked his colleagues for their support and affection, and humbly apologized for any unintentional harshness during his tenure, attributing it to a sense of duty and responsibility.

During his service, Ezing also served as the Festival Director of the Arunachal Literature Festival (2022–2024) and Arunachal Film Festival (2022–2024), both flagship events of the Directorate of IPR.

The ceremony concluded with warm wishes, felicitations, and heartfelt tributes from colleagues and staff, celebrating his remarkable contributions and lifelong commitment to public service. (DIPR)
