Itanagar, Aug 23: The 1.2 km four-lane viaduct connecting the Nirjuli-Banderdewa stretch of NH-415, bypassing the Karsingsa sinking zone, is nearing completion. The key infrastructure project is currently seeing load-bearing tests by the officials of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Govt of India.
Posting the video of the much-awaited project on social media platform X, Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Friday wrote: “The sprawling 1.2 km four-lane Viaduct bridge under package C of 4-lane Banderdewa-Naharlagun highway is yet another important project for enhancing connectivity in Arunachal Pradesh.
The bridge is nearing completion, with Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India engineers currently conducting load-bearing tests. This bridge will reduce travel time, making journeys faster and safer. It will shorten distances, open up new economic opportunities, and facilitate trade, tourism, and access to essential services.”
