ITANAGAR, Aug 31: Out of 250 candidates appeared in the 2nd Job Fair organized today by Dera Natung Govt College (DNGC) in collaboration with the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) Centre, Itanagar under the Ministry of Electronics and IT (Govt of India), around 50 were selected by different participating recruiters.
The unemployed youths from Pasighat and Tezu attended the interview through online mode. The event drew the active participation of around 20 employers viz NIGLA Group, LIC, Pantaloons, Mahindra, Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki Arena, Security Agency, and others.
Out of around 50 candidates selected by several employers include Nigla Group – six candidates, LIC – 20, Pantaloons – four, NIELIT – 12 candidates and many more.
The main objective of the event was to provide a platform to bridge the gap between employers and potential job seekers, offering a wide array of job opportunities across various sectors.
The inaugural programme was graced by Bullo Mamu, Secretary Industries (GoAP), Dr M Q Khan, Principal DNGC, R K Bigensana, Director NIELIT, and many others.
The overall event was coordinated by Botem Moyong, Asstt Professor of Mathematics, DNGC, who is also the centre coordinator of NIELIT Study Centre, DNGC.
