ITANAGAR, Nov 15: The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Regional Office, Itanagar, successfully conducted a Mini Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP) themed ‘Viksit Bharat’ at the Arunachal Literature Festival 2024.
The event took place at the DK Convention Centre here from November 13 to 15
On the final day of the programme, educationist and Padmashree awardee Satyanarayanan Mundayoor, popularly known as ‘Uncle Moosa’, graced the occasion as chief guest. Also present were K Satish Nambudiripad, Director General (NEZ), Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Govt of India, and other distinguished dignitaries.
CBC, RO, Itanagar organized several competitions, including essay writing, mental ability tests, painting, and pencil sketching as part of the event, with an emphasis on raising awareness about key national initiatives, which attracted wide participation from students and the general public.
Uncle Moosa and Nambudiripad presented prizes to the winners of competitions.
The ICOP programme at the ALF 2024 was a significant step in fostering greater public engagement with government schemes and initiatives while promoting a more informed and inclusive dialogue on national development.
During the programme, visitors were informed about various flagship schemes of the Govt of India, including the PM Internship Scheme, PM Vishwakarma Scheme, PM Ujjwala Yojana, and the Swachh Bharat Mission. Officers of the CBC, Itanagar also distributed informative IEC (Information Education and Communication) materials to the public.
The Director General of PIB and CBC, under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Nambudiripad, during his three-day official visit to Itanagar, also inspected the progress of work of the Film and Television Institute campus at Jote.
He held formal meetings with Deputy Commissioner Papum Pare Jiken Bomjen, and Secretary IPR Nyali Ete to discuss the same as well as the ongoing and future initiatives in this regard.
