Leparada district gets PLP 2025-26 estimated at Rs 19.96 Cr

BASAR, Feb 18: The NABARD-made Potential Linked Credit Plan (PLP) in respect of Leparada district for the financial year 2025-26 was launched today by Atul Tayeng, Deputy Commissioner Leparada during the District Consultative Committee (DCC)/District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting held at the DC conference hall here.

The meeting was attended by Dr Lalit Maurya, District Development Manager (DDM), NABARD; Marto Dirchi, District Planning Officer (DPO); Vikramjit, Lead District Manager (LDM); along with officers from various line departments and branch managers.

During the DCC meeting, the DC reviewed all ‘priority’ government schemes related to banking and advised bankers to ensure timely disposal of cases. He also emphasized the need for an additional ATM in Basar, urging Punjab National Bank (PNB) to facilitate its installation.

Discussions in the meeting underscored the importance of achieving targets in priority sectors, including agriculture, small businesses, and education. The DC also urged banks to align their lending priorities with national financial inclusion goals, ensuring that financial assistance reaches underserved communities.

DDM NABARD elaborated the significance of the PLP, outlining its preparation process. The estimated credit potential for the priority sector in FY 2025-26 is Rs 19.96 crore, with Rs 12.47 crore allocated for agriculture and allied activities.
