Vishakha Yadav assumes charge as DC Papum Pare

Yupia, Jun 9: Vishakha Yadav, a 2020-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, assumed charge as the new Deputy Commissioner of Papum Pare district on Monday. She replaces Jiken Bomjen, who superannuated last month.

Upon taking charge, DC Vishakha Yadav interacted with the administrative officers and staff of the DC office establishment. During the interaction, she highlighted the crucial role played by ground-level staff in the efficient functioning of the administration, describing them as the backbone of the institution. She urged all employees to be punctual and diligent in their duties.

A recipient of several prestigious awards, including the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration (2024) and the State Award for Best Electoral Practices, Vishakha Yadav is widely recognized for her outstanding service during the simultaneous Assembly and Parliamentary polls in 2024.

In her address, the DC emphasized the importance of teamwork, coordination, and mutual support among officials, noting that these are essential for delivering effective public services. Stressing the need to enhance the skills of the ministerial staff, she proposed technical skill enhancement training programs for the Upper Division Clerks (UDCs) and Lower Division Clerks (LDCs) of the establishment to improve institutional efficiency.

She cautioned that unauthorized absenteeism would be viewed seriously, and advised all officials to seek prior permission for any leave or absence. She assured that her office would remain open to constructive suggestions and ideas aimed at improving the functioning of the district administration.

Expressing her dedication to the welfare and development of Papum Pare district, the DC sought full cooperation and support of all government functionaries in achieving shared goals for the betterment of the district. (DIPRO)
