Kamle gears up for Stop Diarrhoea Campaign 2025

Raga, Jun 9: A Steering Committee Coordination meeting cum orientation on the Stop Diarrhoea Campaign (SDC) 2025 was successfully conducted at the DC office premises here on Monday. The Campaign is scheduled for implementation across Kamle district from June 16 to July 31.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner JT Obi and attended by district officials and health stakeholders, including DMO Dr Tage Kanno, DRCHO Dr Kapu Sopin, PHED Executive Engineer Binod Dari, CDPO Gidam Don, SReL Manager In-charge Akom Kakum Don, District Epidemiologist Dr Kapu Tapu, Medical Officer (RBSK) Dr Padi Jaylang, MOs from various health facilities, Health & Wellness Officers, ANMs, and DPMU staff.

The orientation emphasized the importance of a multi-sectoral approach combining preventive and curative strategies to combat diarrhoeal diseases.

Additionally, an awareness session was held on the ongoing observance of World Environment Day (June 5–12), focusing on the themes “Beat Plastic Pollution” and “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” through a plantation drive. The session focused on reducing plastic use and encouraging community participation.

The event concluded with a collaborative commitment from all stakeholders and final remarks from the DC to ensure successful implementation of SDC 2025 and environment-friendly practices across the district. (DIPRO)
