‘Golden girl’ Yatup accorded warm reception on return home

BORUM, Jun 9: Gyamar Yatup, gold medallist of the recently concluded International Wushu Championship-2025 at Moscow in Russia, was accorded a warm reception on her arrival at Naharlagun railway station today.

Hundreds of people from various walks of life, including the Higya Welfare Society, family, relatives, friends, well-wishers and others, got together to felicitate the golden girl for her spectacular win at the international arena.

Yatup, who has been an inspiration to many athletes, said that so far she has won around 10 gold and silver medals at zonal, national and international championships in various events held in our country and even internationally.

“If you are playing with discipline you have to put your effort with full commitment and determination to win. Prepare yourself according to the needs. Don’t leave your study but continue with daily exercise and a healthy diet as per requirements,” she said.

She further said: “Avoid all types of drugs and do not indulge in bad habits and become a good human being, and play with a commitment to win medals and at last you will win the race.”
