Ziro, Jun 9: In a heartfelt gesture marking their Silver Jubilee, the Millennium Science batch (1998–2000) of Govt Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Ziro has donated 40 pairs of desks and benches to their alma mater. The furniture was formally handed over to the school Principal Hibu Tama during a brief ceremony held at the school premises.
This generous contribution commemorates 25 years since the batch passed out from the institution. Reminiscing their formative years and the bonds forged within the school’s walls, the alumni united to give back to the institution that played a pivotal role in shaping their lives. Now serving in diverse capacities across the state and country, the batch made the donation under their “Give Back to the Alma Mater” initiative—an expression of their gratitude and enduring bond with the school.
Principal Hibu Tama expressed sincere appreciation for the thoughtful gesture and commended the batch for setting a meaningful example of alumni engagement. “Such contributions go a long way in enhancing the learning environment for our students and inspire the current generation to value the legacy they are part of,” he stated.
