SCERT conducts 3-day orientation programme on the use of DIKSHA

Itanagar, Jul 5: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has successfully organized a three-day orientation programme on the use of the DIKSHA platform at the SCERT conference hall here from July 2 to 4. The programme aimed to enhance the capacity of teachers and education professionals in effectively utilizing the DIKSHA platform for digital teaching and learning.

Attended by more than 30 participants from various districts and DIETs (District Institutes of Education and Training), the sessions focused on key components such as navigating the DIKSHA portal, accessing e-resources, creating and uploading content, integrating QR codes from textbooks, and tracking learner progress.

Gracing the inaugural session, the national coordinator for DIKSHA at NCERT, Dr Rejaul Karim Barbhuia emphasized the pivotal role of digital platforms like DIKSHA in achieving the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, especially in promoting equitable and accessible education for all.

Two resource persons from the DIKSHA Project Management Unit (PMU), NCERT—Sweta Tiwari and Pathikrit Ghosh led technical sessions covering various aspects of the platform. Additionally, Marpak Doke, lecturer at DIET Yachuli, interacted with participants on the use of assessment tools in e-learning and encouraged their application in the teaching-learning process.

Speaking at the valedictory session, the programme coordinator N K Chourasia lauded the active participation of the attendees, stressing the importance of continuous professional development in keeping pace with evolving digital education trends.

Participants appreciated the interactive and hands-on training sessions and expressed confidence in using DIKSHA to enrich classroom experiences and enhance student learning outcomes. (DIPR)
