Bomdila, Jul 8: A Military-Civil Fusion Capsule was successfully conducted today at RR Hills in Bomdila township. The event aimed at enhancing coordination between civil authorities and the Indian Army for effective internal security management and disaster response.
Organised under the aegis of the 351 Infantry Brigade, the capsule brought together officials from the District Administration, Police, SSB, ITBP, SDRF, NDRF, NCC, and other key stakeholders.
The initiative sought to strengthen collaboration among various agencies, especially in integrating them into the broader rear area security framework. Discussions focused on improving inter-agency coordination, establishing timely information-sharing mechanisms, and enhancing civil-military cooperation in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) efforts.
Participants shared resource availability, updated contact directories, and reaffirmed their commitment to joint response during emergencies. Emphasis was also placed on the involvement of the civil population in intelligence gathering and localised disaster response planning.
The session also revisited the historical relevance of the region, assessed current security threats, and reviewed comprehensive emergency preparedness strategies.
Present at the event were Col Avinash Swain and Lt Col Gopal, ADC (Rupa) Lobsang Tsetan, EAC Phuntso Tashi, DySP Kekdam Lingo, DMO Dr RN Tongchi, Bomdila College Principal Tashi Phuntso, DDMO Mindu Yangzom, along with Army personnel and other dignitaries.
