BASAR, Jul 31: Leparada Deputy Commissioner Himani Meena, who assumed the charge on July 25, undertook a series of site inspections in Basar, the headquarters of Leparada district, today.
During the inspection spree, the new DC was accompanied by officials from various departments including the District Planning Officer, executive engineers of PWD and Urban Development & Housing, DDSE, District Land Revenue & Settlement Officer (DLRSO) and their respective teams.
The DC visited Govt Hr Sec School (GHSS), Basar and Govt Sec School (GSS), Basar to identify suitable locations for the construction of a 100-capacity hostels building under the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA).
She also inspected a proposed site for the installation of a futsal court under the Department of Youth Affairs.
Further, the DC reviewed ongoing and proposed development projects at new District HQ site such as residential quarters under the UD & H dept, construction of the District Secretariat and associated roads under the PWD, and the site earmarked for the Deputy Commissioner’s bungalow at the new district headquarters, Basar.
During the visit, the DC directed the DDSE to submit a detailed report on the land status of GHSS and GSS Basar to facilitate finalization of the hostel site and issuance of No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the futsal court. She also instructed the executing agencies—PWD and UD & H—to expedite construction works while ensuring strict adherence to standards, both quality and quantity. (DIPRO)
