Balijan, Jul 31: A campaign for saturation of Financial Inclusion (FI) schemes was successfully organized on Thursday at Balijan Karbi village under Balijan Gram Panchayat by the Lead District Manager (LDM), Papum Pare, in coordination with the Lead Bank Office of State Bank of India, Regional Business Office, Itanagar.
The campaign aimed to spread awareness among rural residents about essential banking services and financial literacy. Key topics covered during the session included activation of inoperative bank accounts, re-KYC (Know Your Customer) updates, nomination in bank accounts, benefits of enrolling in social security schemes such as PMJJBY, PMSBY, Atal Pension Yojana, procedures for death claim settlements under PMJJBY and PMSBY; and types of digital frauds and precautionary measures.
The event was well-attended by officials from the Arunachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank, Balijan, the Gram Panchayat Chairperson, Gaon Burah, local residents, Self-Help Group members, and representatives from the Centre for Financial Literacy (CFL), Balijan.
