Bomdila, Aug 9: Tenzin Zimba, a native of Nyukmadung village in Dirang, West Kameng district, has secured the top rank in the prestigious Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive Examination (APPSCCE) 2024, the results of which were announced on Friday.
A first-class law graduate from Gujarat National Law University (2021), Zimba had earlier topped the APPSC Law Officer Examination in 2022, subsequently joining as a Law Officer under the Government of Arunachal Pradesh in October 2022.
Belonging to the Monpa community, Zimba is the son of Dr Tashi Phuntso, Principal of Government College, Bomdila, and Late Dechen Droma. In the results announced by the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission on August 8, he scored 1096.75 marks in the written examination and 216 marks in the personality test, achieving a total of 1312.75 marks to claim Rank 1.
Making his maiden attempt at APPSCCE, with Law as his optional subject, Zimba has opted for the Arunachal Pradesh Police Service as his first preference.
Expressing gratitude, he dedicated his success to his father and late mother, crediting them for their unwavering guidance. “I am what I am because of them,” he said, also acknowledging his family and friends as his “pillar of strength” throughout the preparation.
CM congratulates successful candidates
Chief Minister Pema Khandu has congratulated all the candidates who cleared the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive Examination (APPSCCE) 2024.
In a message, Khandu lauded their dedication, hard work, and perseverance, which earned them a place among the meritorious candidates recommended for appointment to various posts under the Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
Wishing them success in their careers, he urged the new appointees to serve with integrity, commitment, and excellence for the development and welfare of the state and its people.
