ITANAGAR, Sep 20: Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan (SNSPA) Special Health Camp was conducted at CHC Sagalee on Saturday.
The event was inaugurated by ZPM Sagalee Techi Serbang (chief guest), and Techi Yamar, president APWWS Sagalee unit (guest of honour).
Spacing on the occasion, the ZPM appreciated the initiative and appealed for more nutrition awareness programs in coming days. Yamar spoke about health awareness concerning women.
DRCHO, Yupia highlighted the aims and objectives of SNSPA.
Gynecologist from District Hospital Doimukh, Dr Bengia Mepung spoke in detail about awareness on women's health, hygiene and menstrual hygiene. She also stressed for more participation of male folks in improving the health of the women to reduce MMR and IMR of the State and the nation.
DMO Yupia Dr R R Ronya assured the gathering of more health camps and awareness programs in coming days.
As many as 75 patients, including 18 (ANC) and 25 (hypertension) reaped benefits from the camp, which was participated by Dr Tadar Sharmila (pediatrician, DH Doimukh), Dr Tokar Nyodu (MOIC CHC Sagalee), Dr Sunny Leij and Dr Dani Yasse (MOs), Dr Gebi Loya (DS), and Dr Juli Mossang, MO ayurvedic.
