PM Modi’s visit marks new era of development in Arunachal

Itanagar/New Delhi, Sep 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Arunachal Pradesh on Monday, during which he inaugurated development projects worth over Rs 5,100 crore including two major hydropower projects, was hailed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister Pema Khandu, and Union Minister Kiren Rijiju as a landmark moment for the state and the Northeast.

Shah said the projects, spanning power, healthcare, connectivity, and welfare, will add a new impetus to the growth of Arunachal Pradesh by tapping the state's true potential and boost growth. "Gratitude to Modi Ji for the projects," he tweeted.

CM Khandu lauded PM Modi’s consistent focus on the Northeast, noting that the region has witnessed rapid development since 2014. Highlighting the launch of the GST Bachat Utsav and NextGen GST reforms, he described it as a new ray of progress for the state.

Rijiju recalled the state’s earlier connectivity challenges, emphasizing that today Arunachal has airports, railways, national highways, and improved roads. He said the GST reforms will directly benefit people across the state.

The leaders collectively underscored that Modi’s initiatives and reforms have positioned Arunachal Pradesh for sustained growth and development. (With agency inputs)
