Itanagar, Sep 23: Governor Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik has extended warm greetings to the people of the state, particularly the Idu Mishmi community, on the eve of the latter’s Ke-Meh-Ha Festival.
In his message, the Governor expressed hope that the festival would usher in peace, prosperity, and harmony in society. He noted that agriculture has always been central to the way of life in Arunachal Pradesh, with festivals deeply rooted in the cycles of cultivation and harvest. “These celebrations are not only moments of joy but also vital threads that preserve and carry forward our cultural heritage,” he said.
The Governor urged people to take pride in their traditions, honour the wisdom of forefathers, and pass the legacy on to future generations. Calling on the youth to actively participate in such festivities, he said they strengthen community bonds while keeping society rooted in its identity.
“On this special day, I join my Idu Mishmi brethren in offering prayers to Apeh-Mili and Apeh-Gonlo, seeking their blessings for abundance, good health, and happiness for all,” the Governor said in his message.
