ITANAGAR, Sep 23: The Heart of Worship ‘Season I’, an inter-denominational online acoustic gospel singing competition, organized by the Revival Radiators in collaboration with the Papum Pare District Christian Revival Church Council, witnessed a grand closing ceremony marked by worship, music, and prayers at Christian Revival Church, Polo Colony, Naharlagun.
Hopu Pegi of Lobi-Paanch-Aali (Itanagar) was adjudged the winner, while Joseph Cheda of Seppa bagged the first runner-up, and the contestant from the host church at Polo Colony Karsang Yazni got the 2nd runner-up position. Toko Ruth of Doimukh and Nani Gumja of Daporijo were adjudged the 4th and fifth positions respectively.
Attending the programme, RGU Jt Registrar and ex vice president APCRCC Dr David Pertin said that witnessing the dedication and talent of the participants was truly inspiring. The Heart of Worship (Season I) not only provided a platform for showcasing gospel talent but also emphasized unity and devotion through music. He further encouraged all to live inside out with music as a medium, which, in turn heals inner brokenness, renew minds and lift people in despair.
The president of Papum Pare District Christian Revival Church Council, Gandhi Dui, in his speech, expressed his contentment on collaborating with the organizers in this meaningful initiative of recognizing the young talents, and encouraged all to inculcate music as a medium to fight against depression and loneliness.
