Rijiju lays foundation stone of 6 PMJVK projects in Seppa

Itanagar, Sep 27: Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs & Minority Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, today visited Seppa in East Kameng district to lay the foundation stone of six projects sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK).

The programme, held at the District Secretariat conference hall, was chaired by the Union Minister in the presence of Seppa East MLA Ealing Tallang, Chayang Tajo MLA Hayeng Mangfi, East Kameng Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Nigam, and Superintendent of Police Kamdam Sikom.

In his address, Rijiju emphasized the transformative potential of the PMJVK projects in fostering inclusive growth and development in East Kameng. He also briefed the gathering on the recently introduced GST reforms, and assured skill development opportunities for unemployed youth.

He also underlined the strategic importance of the upcoming Frontier Highway in boosting connectivity and economic activities in the region. As part of his visit, the Union Minister interacted with shopkeepers and traders at Seppa market to understand the ground-level impact of GST reforms.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from administrative officers, heads of departments, and other dignitaries, reflecting the collective commitment to East Kameng’s progress.
