Bhupen Hazarika Museum inaugurated at Roing

Itanagar, Sep 27: Honouring the centenary of Bharat Ratna Dr Bhupen Hazarika, Roing now proudly hosts a dedicated Bhupen Hazarika Museum, showcasing the priceless works and memories of the legendary musician.

Inaugurated by Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Friday, the museum stands as a fitting tribute to Dr Hazarika, whose timeless voice continues to bind hearts across the Northeast and the nation.

Khandu said that Dr Hazarika’s music was never just entertainment but a movement to portray culture, spread compassion, and embrace diversity. “Music must be the voice of the voiceless, a force that breaks barriers and inspires. This timeless message of Bharat Ratna Dr Bhupen Hazarika echoed strongly during the centenary celebrations at Roing,” he said.

The Chief Minister added that Dr Hazarika’s songs continue to inspire the younger generation, guiding them towards unity, cultural pride, and the spirit of harmony that he so passionately championed.
