ITANAGAR, Sep 27: Local MLA and Advisor to Urban Affairs Minister, Techi Kaso has called upon the parents to care for their children’s future so that they become good human beings and serve the society for all-round development of the State and the country as a whole.
Speaking at the 3rd felicitation programme organized by the Takam Welfare Society (TWS) in a city hotel here today, Kaso said that we are passing through a critical time where the life of youths has been dented due to indulgence in drugs and other harmful habits. The precious time will never come back and so it’s high time that we care for our children’s future and guide them in their academic activities, he said, adding they can also avail the benefits of the government’s sports quota for which they need to excel in sports.
Itanagar Capital Complex Deputy Commissioner Toko Babu motivated the youths and students present to become ‘role model’ for the family, community and society so that other members of society and community can learn from them.
Among others, TWS president Takam Tatup and general secretary Takam Dari Sojik also addressed the gathering.
On the occasion, the dignitaries gave away certificates of achievement, trophy and cash award to all achievers of Takam clan for their outstanding achievement in the field of education, games and sports and other fields.
