Naharlagun, Sep 27: The two-day workshop on “Empowering ITI Instructors with Artificial Intelligence for Smarter Teaching & Training” concluded yesterday here at the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) campus.
The workshop was organised by the Department of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (SDE) in collaboration with the Rural Development Society (RDS), Naharlagun, and TUD FaCE Institute, Germany.
During the valedictory function, completion certificates were distributed to 23 ITI Vocational Instructors representing all seven ITIs of the state. The certificates were handed over by NIELIT Director RK Bigensana and SDE Assistant Director Gyati Kacho.
Speaking on the occasion, the NIELIT Director highlighted the institute’s role in facilitating cutting-edge training programs and reaffirmed its commitment to driving the digital transformation of vocational education in Arunachal Pradesh.
SDE Assistant Director Gyati Kacho underscored the importance of continuous professional development and the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in vocational training. “Our instructors must remain updated with the latest technological techniques to better train and skill our students, making them employable,” he said. He also thanked RDS for initiating the workshop and NIELIT for providing the infrastructure support.
The workshop, led by Jorg Hafer of TUD FaCE Institute, Germany, covered a wide range of topics including AI in education, AI-assisted lesson planning, content generation, quality assurance, ethics in AI usage, AI-based career guidance, and lifelong learning support.
The valedictory function was also attended by Tabu Dui, president of RDS; entrepreneur Kenyir Dui; trainer Jorg Hafer; resource person KL Rathor; and PMU-SDE senior consultants Suman Shukla and Vivek Raturi, among others.
