Royal Siang Bikers’ Expedition to Gelling, Kepang La promotes border area tourism

Tuting, Sep 28: A spirited group of eight bikers from the Royal Siang Bikers’ Club undertook a challenging expedition to Gelling, the first village on the Indo-China border, and further to the historic Kepang La Pass, symbolizing resilience and adventure.

The ride, through treacherous terrain, dense forests, and steep gradients, highlighted the indomitable spirit of adventure while drawing attention to the strategic and cultural importance of these frontier areas.

At Kepang La, the bikers paid homage to the brave Indian soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice during the 1962 war, defending the nation in the face of overwhelming odds. The tribute underscored their enduring legacy of courage and sacrifice, which continues to inspire generations.

More than an adventure, the expedition carried a message of unity, patriotism, and solidarity with the border communities who live with resilience in remote and harsh conditions. It also showcased the breathtaking beauty of Upper Siang while generating awareness about the sacrifices of locals and soldiers in safeguarding the nation’s frontiers.
