Itanagar, Sep 30: A dedicated medical health check-up camp was successfully conducted in Walong and Menchuka Valleys of Arunachal Pradesh on Monday under the Government of India’s newly launched ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan’ programme. The initiative was organised in collaboration with the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Walong and Community Health Centre (CHC) Menchuka.
The campaign strongly emphasized preventative care, particularly for women and children, aligning with the national goal of fostering resilient and healthy communities through focused maternal well-being. Local medical teams carried out essential screenings and consultations, ensuring that quality healthcare services reached even the remotest corners of the region.
The camp witnessed an overwhelming response from the community, benefitting a total of 176 individuals, including women, children, Anganwadi workers, and ASHA workers—highlighting its wide generational impact. Beyond treatment, the initiative also provided a crucial platform for early detection of ailments and health education.
The success of these camps reflects the collective commitment of the Indian Army, health officials, and local agencies in making quality medical services accessible to every family in the region. Building on this momentum, further outreach programmes are expected to continue under the ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan’ mission, a Defence spokesman said.
